I've been to almost all of the Great American restaurants and they all give a similar vibe in terms of service, ambiance, and menu options. Starters seem to be the same as their other restaurants but the stars here go to their seafood and beef. I wanted to treat myself and got the broiled crab cake and filet mignon which is the best of both worlds. Seasoned and cooked perfectly to your liking and reasonably priced. I also ordered the caesar salad which complemented the meal well and tasted fresh. Restaurant does get busy for dinner so make sure there is a reservation before-hand. Even with a reservation I still had to wait a bit for a table to open up.

We visited Reston Town Center after several months and stopped to have lunch at Jackson's. Glad that the regular menu is now in effect on Sundays and not the brunch menu. No wait for a nice table by the window. Served by Ethan with help from the kitchen staff. We ordered the shrimp fritters (note provide a spoon as there is so much sauce), bread (still $1 as during Covid . Most restaurants have stopped charging. If served please warm the bread basket), and for lunch fish tacos (very nice. Not cold slaw bit spicy but that was expected) and my wife thought she ordered a pasta dish with shrimp and broccolini but none came so a server advised for an extra charge they could provide penne which was fine. It was a nice visit at a restaurant we have visited with family and friends many times.

Great place for Sunday football. The service is amazing. The staff was helpful. The food was delicious and the drinks. Not too noisy but a great place to converse with friends

I've been to this restaurant once before because the first time I went, I loved it so much, I suggested to go here for a girl's dinner again. I will say, it was very busy. However, 1. it was right before Christmas, and 2. I arrived during dinner rush, so it was understandable. I waited 20 minutes for a table of 3, but I had no issues. My server was so kind! I was having trouble deciding on what I wanted, and she gave me some suggestions and her personal favorites! I ended up ordering the Jambalaya pasta (as she suggested), and it was delicious! I love the vibe of this restaurant. There's no overhead lighting so it makes you feel like you're in a cozy yet retro environment. One of the things I thought was extremely unique about this places was the bathroom situation (weird to say, I know). BUT, if you are part of the LGBTQ+ community, this place is for you. They have a Womens/Mens/Theirs bathroom if you're looking for a restaurant that is LGBTQ+ Friendly.

I just had an unforgettable meal at Jackson's in Reston Town Center, and let me tell you--it was a feast for the senses! First off, the festive decor is so charming, it feels like you've walked into a holiday card. You can't help but smile; I half-expected to see some twinkling lights dancing along with me! Now, let's talk about the food. Those fritters? Absolute perfection! They're fluffy and golden, and I could easily devour a whole plate by myself. Seriously, if they offered a bottomless fritter option, I'd be their number one customer. Then we have the prime rib. Oh man, it was cooked just right--so tender and juicy that every bite was a delight. This is the kind of meal that makes you appreciate the finer things in life, like a perfectly cooked piece of meat! And don't even get me started on the crab cake. It was so good, I'm pretty sure it was made by crab cake enthusiasts who have perfected their craft. Each bite was bursting with flavor and made me want to shout, "More, please!" The service at Jackson's was top-notch, too. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. They really know how to make you feel welcome! And let's not forget the wine list! It's extensive and has something for everyone. Whether you're a casual sipper or a wine connoisseur, you'll find the perfect glass to complement your meal. So if you're in the mood for great food, festive vibes, and fantastic service, Jackson's is the place to be. Just be ready to leave with a happy belly and a big smile!

I wasn't sure what to expect. When a friend recommended Jackson's but I am so glad he did! When I saw the review speaking about the Waldorf salad, I figured I would take a chance but when something is this good... There's zero risk involved! The steak was cooked to perfection and tender to the point you don't need a knife. The apples, grapes and greens in my salad were very fresh and full of flavor. Probably the most balanced and fresh salad I've had in years!! Only complaint I can think of is I wish it came with more candied walnuts... not because they skimped on them but because they were so tasty lol. The atmosphere is loud and casual, but friendly at the same time. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Love love love this place. Very cozy and fun with a little fancy touch. Lights are dim enough for a date night but the place won't put you to sleep. You see customers from age 18 to 90. The vibe is family friendly without feeling like you are at an ihop (no offense, I love ihop). The food is always fresh and comes to your table quickly. Large menu to choose from. Definitely my go to spot. The staff is very professional, friendly and kind.

Jackson's Mighty Fine Food and Lucky Lounge is part of the GAR group, located in the bustling Reston Town Center. As other GARs, they had a similar menu, but it seems as if Jackson's had more of a variety compared to other locations (such as sushi!). We came here for a dinner get-together, and we ordered: +a Community Bread Basket - we requested fresh-out-of-the-own Ozzie rolls, and our server delivered! They almost fell out of our hands, as they were hot and buttery! +the Deviled Eggs w. Spiced Pecans & Sugar Cured Bacon - each deviled egg was generously-filled, and I really liked the pecan bits that topped each of them; the app was also served with strips of sugar-cured bacon +Wood Grilled Filet Mignon - served with a hot baked potato, roasted cremini mushrooms, and a field greens salad +Steak Frites - hickory-grilled, marinated CAB hanger steak, served with a side of fries and a field greens salad; the steak was cooked well, as it was pretty tender +Sesame Crusted Tuna - served with spinach in a soy sherry broth with sesame ginger, scallions, and sticky rice +and, a Short Smoked Salmon Filet - smoked and hickory-grilled, served with asparagus and a Creole mustard sauce; I opted the rainbow quinoa with pecans and walnuts to mashed potatoes; the salmon was a bit overcooked and tough, and they missed the extra side of Creole mustard sauce; the asparagus could have been cooked a bit longer Service was very attentive, and we were checked in frequently; our drinks never ran low and always refilled right away! The place was hopping, and you could tell that this place was the preferred dining destination in the area. I also liked their open patio, which is great for those who enjoy al fresco dining. Parking was easy, as there were adjacent-locate garages. +hot Ozzie rolls! +tasty Deviled Eggs! +great service! +plenty of garage parking +located at the Reston Town Center

This is our go-to spot when we meet in Reston Town Center. We automatically gravitate toward the bar area and sit at the tables that are almost like outdoor seating, but covered by an awning. Also, these seats are perfect because we prefer the bartenders/servers don't constantly come by. They are friendly, but we don't need that much attention. If we need anything, we are okay just walking up to the bar to place orders. We mostly come for drinks, but sometimes we order food. We have tried their blue crab & shrimp fritters, shrimp tacos and calamari. I normally don't eat calamari, but theirs was surprisingly good. The bread basket is so good, we always order a couple baskets, which are apparently $1. The drinks are perfectly made. We normally order the margaritas and mojitos, me with no ice of course. The mojito was good, but there was so much in there, we asked her to make it without "the salad" (shown in the pictures...). The margarita is perfect as well, as was the pinot grigio. Would I return? yea, absolutely!
